Business Renovation - Turning an Arby's into a Jay Bird's Chicken
The City of St. George and the surrounding towns in southern Utah have grown rapidly over the past decades. And one of the surest signs of that growth has been the number of restaurants that are thriving in the city.
One of the newest restaurants in the area is Jay Birds Chicken.
Founded in Long Beach, California, Jay Birds serves Nashville style hot chicken. Jay Bird’s Chicken is a representation of Chef Jay’s upbringing in Chicago, IL where he would spend the summers visiting Nashville and frying chicken every Sunday as a family tradition. Jay Bird’s strives to deliver food that is layered with flavors and culinary techniques the whole family will enjoy. Whether it’s your first visit, or you’re a long-time customer, their goal is to ensure you leave happy and full each time you visit!
Jay Birds Commercial Renovation
We had the pleasure of being involved in the business renovation of the new home for Jay Birds – the old Arby’s building at the Red Cliffs Mall.
It was a challenging project, with a lot of details that needed attention.
A complete kitchen remodel involved the replacement of nearly a dozen commercial appliances and a great deal of cleaning and remodeling.
Our friends at Red Rock Flooring replaced tile throughout the kitchen and both restrooms and in the beverage station in the lobby.
We also covered the front facade in tile and a similar-sized area covering the drive-through window.
Stucco work, ceiling tiles, finish work on the seating area in the lobby, the list of improvements that were made to the interior of the restaurant space is lengthy.
But the rewards of seeing Jay Birds filled with hungry patrons and Jay himself handing out trays of delicious-looking Nashville-style hot chicken during the grand opening and after a sucessful business renovation were worth the effort.
